Maura Ende (yes, she has a last name) is a writer based in Buffalo, New York. She would also like to call herself a director and producer, but she's shy.Maura thoroughly enjoys traveling, reading, and helping animals in need whenever possible.Although some would say her passion lies in television, her truest desire is to visit all 50 state Capitol buildings with her loving boyfriend. This dream will likely be completed in summer 2068 in the city of Juneau, Alaska. Or maybe Bismarck.
Experience
Well, let's get right to it: she's an Emmy nominee.Technically.While she was studying cinema and media at the University of Southern California, she co-produced Failure to Launch, a multi-cam sitcom pilot written and directed by Jay Mandyam. The Television Academy nominated the graduate thesis project for Best Comedy Series at the 43rd College Television Awards.Beyond that, she wrote for USC Comedy Live! during the Spring 2023 season of the show. (If you really must know, she will let you know which dreadful sketches for which she is responsible. Send her a somewhat polite email for more info.)She also co-wrote a short stoner comedy, Function at Strawberry Junction, that follows two girls who accidentally kidnap (elder-nap?) a senior citizen.She graduated in 2023 with a minor in comedy. Yeah, that says everything you need to know about her.Now, she writes for local media organization Step Out Buffalo. Creating advertorial content, she promotes restaurants, hotels, and even golf simulators. Dedicated to meeting her deadlines, she writes about four articles per week.With a few half-hour pilot scripts to her name, and with the ambition to create the world's next great rom-com, Maura spends a good chunk of time writing. But not enough. To quote One Direction, "Never enough."

Maura is actively seeking freelance writing opportunities.At Step Out, she focuses on lifestyle content: dining, festivals, and things to do or see in Western New York.She can also write about popular culture — an obsession — or travel — another obsession — or mental health — her ultimate obsession.While writing sketches for SNL would be her wildest fantasy, the reality is that having anyone read her work, and maybe even stifle a chuckle or two, would be the greatest honor.
